Hi My names Anne Gibbins and I am the secretary of Port Whangamata OBA No 1.

Whangamata is a seaside resort town located 2 hours southeast of Auckland on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula on New Zealand's East Coast.  Fishing is one of the many activities that Whangamata has to offer.  Whangamata is also a surfies paradise with a great surf beach.

The Overseas Buffaloes Association is a Non-Profit organisation providing the opportunity to meet new people and have fun.  We have branches located in Whangamata, Mt Maunganui, Turangi, Nelson,  Blenheim, Westport, Christchurch and Dunedin.  Every 2nd weekend in March all the branches gather for our annual conference.  Each branch takes turns in hosting our conference which is a fun filled 3 days consisting of:

A get-together on the Friday night
AGM Saturday with a Social and Fancy Dress
   Saturday Evening
Sunday Harmony Day where branches compete for the "Tongariro Harmony Shield" with song and skit including the Miss OBA contest.

We also have listings in the NZ "RAOB Review" which is a quarterly publication dedicated to the activities of the lodges in NZ and regularly send in notes for publication.
